Holographic Plasmons

Plasmons are collective excitations that are present in all conducting matter.
We study plasmons holographically, intending to give a description for plasmons and, in effect, all physical modes in systems without quasiparticles where perturbative QFT falls short.
We do this by translating macroscopic requirements of the theory into holographic boundary conditions.
The results for bulk and 2DEG plasmons for some different holographic duals are shown and we discuss similarities and oddities compared with results from conventional methods.
