Dynamics with matrix product states—the basics

In this meeting, I will explain how algorithms that time evolve matrix product states work, starting from a quick discussion of matrix product states and their properties. If time allows, I will also explain how one can use those same techniques to simulate dynamics of observables in thermal states. I plan to keep the discussion extremely informal and will adjust the pace and selection of topics to the questions and guidance from the audience. This will not be a talk for experts! (Although maybe the thermal part will be new to them).
