AMO physics at the interface with gravity
The ability to manipulate and to control individual quantum systems has opened new avenues for applied and basic research. Building on these developments, in my work I study AMO theory at the interface with gravity with a focus on effects that can be probed experimentally. Here I will summarize two research directions: Gravitational wave detection with atomic clocks and time dilation induced decoherence in matter-wave interferometry.
